This course offers people in the construction or service industries the skills and knowledge to work safely and competently in setting up, operating and daily maintenance of various types of elevating work platforms on a construction or industrial site.
- Be 16 years of age or over.
- Applicants must have successfully achieved NCEA Level One or equivalent, or be able to demonstrate sound written and oral skills; have achieved a local or National Certificate in the Construction industry or a related field.
- Applicants for whom English is a second language must meet IELTS (or equivalent) Level 5.5.
Special Entry may be granted when evidence exists that the applicant can successfully complete the program.
Note: Students should be made aware that physical strength, balance, coordination and motor skills all need to be unimpaired to complete the training.
